Ice on the indoor coil or visible at the air handler is almost always one of two things: low refrigerant from a slow leak, or restricted airflow from a clogged filter or blocked return. Letting it run while frozen can damage the compressor. Turn the system off, switch the fan to ON, and call us.

Older systems with original line sets often develop slow leaks at the brazed joints. The symptom is gradually weaker cooling and higher power bills as the system runs longer to hit setpoint. We find the leak with electronic detectors and dye, repair the joint, then evacuate and recharge the system properly.

White and green corrosion on the fin pack means the coil's heat-rejection efficiency is dropping and a leak is usually close behind. We can clean and coat the coil for milder cases or replace the condenser when corrosion has gone past surface level.
Florida humidity means your AC pulls a constant stream of condensate. Algae and biological growth eventually clog the drain line, the float switch trips, and the system shuts itself off so it doesn't flood your ceiling. We clear the line with a vacuum, treat it, and verify the float switch is healthy.
After a lightning strike, brownout, or storm surge, the compressor or control board can fail. These are bigger repairs and usually trigger a real conversation about repair vs. replacement, especially on systems past 10 years old. We give you the numbers honestly and let you decide.
